EDUCATION MINISTRY RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT EMALUS STUDENTS
The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) has held a fundraising drive to raise funds to support students studying at The University of the South Pacific’s Emalus Campus in Port Vila affected by Cyclone Pam.
The Prime Minister’s Media Unit confirms the fundraising effort collected more than $26,000.
It adds the money has been sent to the Solomon Islands students at the Emalus Campus via Western Union last Friday.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development has thanked the MEHRD staff, parents and the public for supporting the cause.
