The Guadalcanal Province’s former deputy premier and Minister of Lands Mr John Nano has dismissed allegations that Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo had applied for a plot of land at Ndoma area ear marked for the Guadalcanal Mini Township.

The MPA for Tandai ward says people who go around spreading such rumour should best seek evidence before making further comments on the issue.

Mr Nano explains, the truth of the matter is that madam Brownwin Lilo had applied for a piece of land outside the Ndoma township boundary as a Guadalcanal woman.

He says in her expression of interest, Madam Lilo had followed accepted protocols and applied through the Guadalcanal Provincial executive, the rightful screening authority just like any other Guadalcanal applicant.

Mr Nano stressed, Mr and Madam Lilo are innocent of all the criticisms levelled against them.

He says many Guadalcanal individuals and companies have applied through the same process.

Mr Nano explains, Guadalcanal people who have issues relating to land acquisition on Ndoma, should direct their concerns to the Premier Stephen Panga and his executive.
