KOLOFE & KWAIBALA THANKED JAPANESE GOV’T FOR PROJECTS

The Kolofe and Kwaibala Water Supply and Sanitation Committee has thanked the Japanese Government for the water supply and sanitation project granted to them recently.

The project was funded by Japan under its Grassroots Program in Solomon Islands, aiming at improving rural livelihoods in the country.

Commending the Japanese Ambassador to Solomon Islands recently, Chair of the recipient Committee, Elson Labufunu said they are really excited.

“The reception of this project physically our people will sing and dance and shout for joy to show our gratitude to our eternal God, the Lord, the giver of all source and also to the people of Japan and the Government of Japan too, for so precious a gift.”

Mr. Labufunu also presented a shell money to the Japanese Ambassador Kenichi Kimiya, to signify the start of a new relationship between Japan and the communities of Kolofe and Kwaibala.
