A community leader of Sun Valley, George Tikini, has questioned Lever Solomons Ltd over the legitimacy of its Sun Valley land sale notice.

Mr Tikini says this follows a $1.2 million payment the company recently demanded from Sun Valley community.

He explains the land sale offer is unreasonable as most of the community members are only low-income earners.

“And it costs us $1.2 million for the community of Sun Valley to purchase it, so our concern is why does Levers have to overcharge us when it should only charge a reasonable prize? Most of us who are living in this area of concern are only cash crop producers with small earnings.”
