Daniel Kova of Kaokao Tribe in Central Guadalcanal Constituency has called on the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) to work closely with chiefs in the constituency to address various criminal activities caused by youths in the area.

Today Mr. Kova travels all the way from his village to the broadcasting house to suggest through the media, police work with chiefs to initiate community-based policing programs to address the issue in the constituency.

Mr. Kova adds any tangible action taken to address the issue now is important as in the past the police and community leaders have failed to address it.

“I am calling on the police to bring awareness to our community leaders and the youth as this has been absent for so long and I would like the Bahomea and Malango House of Chiefs to pull up their socks in maintaining the power entrusted to them by the people.”
