NATIONAL NETBALL SQUAD STARTS TRAINING AHEAD OF PNG SPG
The National Netball Squad has started training ahead of the South Pacific Games which will be held in Papua New Guinea next year.
Training Coach Doris Homelo told SIBC News, the team began preliminary training in the last two months and a final squad will be announced in November.
She says while the training is progressing well, they still request more girls to attend the training session as it is very important for the team to really prepare well for the South Pacific Games.
Miss Homelo adds Makira Ulawa Province was the only Province to send two of its girls to train in the squad with girls from Honiara.
SIBC News understands the girls selected for the national netball squad were selected from the Inter-Provincial Netball Competition held in Rennell and Bellona late last year.
