NORTH WEST GUADALCANAL PEOPLE MET POLICE BOSS
Yesterday people of Sahalu ward in North West Guadalcanal met the Royal Solomon Islands Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast at Visale Parish.
The Police Commissioner led a team of four senior police officers to conduct an awareness program reaching down to the people in the communities – ensuring people understand the role of the police and basic laws.
Assistant Police Commissioner Gabriel Manelusi told the people the aim of their awareness is to assist community people see police as their friend and not their enemy.
“The aim of this talk that we will highlight is to help the community to see the police as a friend and not an enemy.”
Mr Manelusi added, part of their visit is to help the people transform their mindset and advance the country, saying any community in any society cannot live in peace without collaborating with stakeholders and police.
“Any community and any society cannot exist peacefully without collaborating together with stakeholders and the police. In the same way, without police support and stakeholders a community cannot live peacefully.”
