Pasifiki HR launches Internship Program in partnership with Australia Strongim Bisnis
Pasifiki HR together with Australia Strongim Bisnis, is proud to announce the launch of a new Internship Program aimed at equipping recent graduates with essential work-readiness knowledge and skills.
The Internship Program offers three-month funded internships, designed to provide enthusiastic recent graduates with invaluable workplace experience.
The announcement was made at a Business After Five (BA5) event, hosted by Pasifiki HR for members of the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday.
Speaking at the event, Bob Pollard highlighted the significant challenges faced by graduates in the Solomon Islands, where securing employment is a privilege due to the scarcity of job opportunities.
“There is a massive deficit between the number of graduates and the availability of full-time jobs”.
“Approximately 15,000 individuals graduate every year across all levels of education, yet only a small fraction manages to secure full-time employment,” Pollard said.
Pollard encouraged businesses and organizations to support the Internship Program, emphasizing the importance of providing interns with real-world workplace experiences.
The number of internships available for the first round of placements is up to 80 and the starting date for interns deployment is from July onwards.
Unemployed graduates or those in need of work experience are strongly encouraged to apply. Target groups include University fresh Graduates, TVET Graduates; Women Groups, PWDs and qualified candidates from the Labor Mobility Pool.
Interested parties should submit their applications, including their Curriculum Vitae (CV), Expression of Interest (EOI) Letter, Certificate of Highest Qualification addressed to The People Manager, Pasifiki HR, P.O. Box R241, Honiara, Solomon Islands.
Email application can be sent to Senoveva Kera: consultant@pasifikihr.com.
Meanwhile, the program represents a significant opportunity for recent graduates to gain practical experience and enhance their employability in the competitive job market.
Pasifiki HR and Australia Strongim Bisnis are committed to supporting the professional development of young talents in the Solomon Islands.
