The Solomon Islands National Teacher’s Association (SINTA) has questioned the Ministry of Education on the progress on the Teachers leave and housing packages report.

SINTA General Secretary Samson Faisi said failure to provide information on the progress of the report has caused frustration for
SINTA and teachers.

“The failure of the Ministry to come out and clearly explain to the teachers as to what the progress of this issue so far is quiet frustrating to the Secretariat.”

The SINTA General Secretary adds, teachers need to know information about their packages as the country approaches the end of the academic year.

SIBC News understands recommendations on the Teacher’s leave packages and housing allowances were completed and was already presented to the Permanent Secretary of Education in July this year.
