Solomon Islands music sensation Sean Rii, also known as Richard Saeni, has arrived in Fiji ahead of his first-ever live performance in the country at the Wan Fire Music Show at Vodafone Arena in Suva this Saturday.

Sean Rii will take the stage with his live band, D# Band.

The festival lineup also features Jenieo, Sharzkii, VT1S, Paradise Rootz with Mr. Sam “Jeke Taniela” and DJs Mateo and Drishant on the decks.

D# Band leader Ronni Riti, better known as Paeva, told the Distaem Nao program that the event is a major opportunity to showcase Solomon Islands’ music, culture, and message of peace to Fiji and the wider Pacific.

“We’re here to perform at the One Fire Festival in Suva. Representing Solomon Islands is something we proudly do.”

“We want to share love, peace, culture and our Solomon style with Fiji and other Pacific countries, and hopefully take our music further into the world,” Paeva said.

He also thanked families and fans at home, adding that the group will continue to carry the Solomon Islands flag everywhere they go.

Meanwhile, Sean Rii and the team arrived in Nadi yesterday, where they were welcomed by VOU, one of Fiji’s leading performing arts groups, with a traditional Fijian meke and garlands symbolizing cultures connecting and communities celebrating.
