Form Six students of Sir Dudley Tuti College, in Isabel Province are concerned, the current shortage of English teachers in the school will impact negatively on their national examination later this year.

A concern parent Mr Landry Losi told SIBC News, parents are really worried with the outcome of their children’s examination results adding, English is a core subject.

He says as fee payers this is a big concern for relevant authorities to quickly fix.

“The parents are concerned that the exams are drawing closer and students are not attending a very important subject which is English, so they are worried once the results turned negative, it would affect the students who are currently in sixth form and we are seeking answers from both the provincial and national authorities how would they address this since the students are without an English teacher since the mid-year break.”
