TWO MEN CHARGED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER APPEARED BEHIND BARS
Two men alleged to be part of the group attempting to murder a Rennell Bellona man at a walk-through Kai Bar in Point Cruz earlier this month, have appeared behind bars at the Magistrate Court this morning.
Ben Alami is accused of knifing the man in his left arm while he was eating at the Kingsley Fast Food Bar.
Frank Fakaia is accused of being the driver of the getaway car for Ben Alami.
In the court this morning, Police Prosecutors applied for a 14-day adjournment to allow further investigation into the case.
The prosecutors say the investigation was delayed because police officers were involved in the National General Elections.
Meanwhile, a public solicitor has confirmed in Court he is representing Mr Alami but says a lawyer is yet to be allocated for Mr
Fakaia.
The two men will appear again in court on December 9.
