The challenge for the government now is on the implementation of budget and converting significant expenditure plans into tangible improvement of services and projects in rural areas says the Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition Hon. Jeremiah Manele.
Hon Manele made the statement while contributing to the debate of the ‘The 2015 Supplementary Appropriation Bill 2015’ in Parliament yesterday.
While acknowledging the implementations of many projects, Mr Manele says, much is still to be done.
“Sir while I acknowledge that work, for example on the Auki road will begin shortly, much more remains to be done on the projects that will be critical to contributing to the country’s economic development. Sir it is important that economic growth and development must be inclusive and sustainable, a point that has been raised over and over again.”
