TWO draws and five wins for Eddie Marahare and Malaita Kingz FC as they sit third with 17 points in the 2025 S-League competition table.

The Marahare coached side picked up their fifth win; in their return to topflight competition: with a 3-0 win over Honiara City FC last Saturday.

“First of all, getting the win today. It’s three points.  First half we created a lot of unnecessary errors, and the boys were getting a bit frustrated.

“Condition today was tough. Sun was very hot. It’s the one o’clock game but I’m happy we came back in the second half, settled down and played our normal game which we scored a goal.”

Coach Marahare said the win is important for his side, who also picked up a crucial 1-0 win over defending champions, Central Coast FC a fortnight ago.

With Round 1 of the 2025 S-League season entering its final rounds of matches, Coach Marahare said staying consistent is now very important.

“The win is very important because it gives us 17 points which sees us maintain our current position, third, but knowing that we still have one game at hand.

“The thinking here is to maintain this, stay consistent on the ladder as we head towards the last games for Round 1.

Coach Marahare meanwhile said they will go back to the drawing board to do some more work in their mid-field for their next match.

“Most of the errors today were final touches. We need to work on our midfield going up to our strikers.

“We’ll go back and work on our basic structure and accuracy especially in our midfield,” he said.
