Maravari United Church Men’s Fellowship Prepares for Regional Weekend Rally in Ranonga
The United Church Men’s Fellowship group from Maravari is preparing to attend the upcoming Regional Weekend Rally to be held at Page Village, Ranonga Island, from 23 to 27 October 2025.
This year’s rally, hosted by the Ranonga Circuit, will bring together men’s fellowship groups from across the region under the theme: “Come Holy Spirit, Transform and Unite Men for God’s Mission”, inspired by Ephesians 4:1–6.
President of the Maravari United Church Men’s Fellowship, Duddley Devese, confirmed that preparations are well underway.
He stated that South East Vella Circuit, including Maravari, will be participating in the weekend rally.
“There are 13 Circuits within the Central West Region that will gather for this year’s Regional Weekend Rally,” Devese said.
He explained that the 13 circuits stretch from Shortland to Rarumana, with every United Church Men’s Fellowship group expected to be represented
“We are preparing our action songs, skits, and other items to present during the rally,” he added.
Devese highlighted the importance of the event as a time for fathers and men in the church to come together for fellowship, spiritual growth, and awareness on various social and church-related issues.
“It is a time for all United Church fathers to come together and share in church activities and programs. It’s encouraging to see fathers getting involved,” he said.
The rally will also include elective awareness sessions facilitated by various government ministries, covering topics such as law, family planning, and other important community matters.
Devese encouraged men in the community, especially young fathers, to get involved in such initiatives:
“It’s a great opportunity for building strong, responsible manhood in the community. I encourage those who haven’t joined yet to take part in programs like this.”
