MPNSCS Signs Land Lease with Kariki Landowners

The Ministry of Police National Security & Correctional Services (MPNSCS) proudly announces the official signing of a land lease agreement with the Kariki landowners yesterday.

The ceremony was witnessed by Permanent Secretary Karen Galokale, Commissioner of Lands Alan McNeil, and the five trustees representing the Kariki landowners.

This significant agreement secures the land parcel allocated for the establishment of the Kariki Police Post.

A parcel number has been assigned, and the Ministry expects the issuance of the Perpetual Estate title registered in the names of the five landowners’ trustees by next week.

Chief Trustee Gloria Sibisopere sign a lease agreement as closely watch by the Chief Lands Officer Michael Sikiwa’ae.

The trustees include four representatives from the western region and one based in Honiara.

A special clause has been included in the lease instrument providing for a potential rental review every 10 years, a common provision to allow future adjustments.

This lease agreement marks an important milestone in strengthening the Ministry’s operations and presence within the community, reinforcing its commitment to national security and service delivery.
