A father of six children from Isabel Province who had sex with his eldest daughter and attempted to rape his second daughter will hear his fate as soon as the prosecution council provide a victim impact statement to the High Court Judge next week.

Judge Stephen Pallaras has asked the prosecution council to provide the statement before he hands down his sentence, during the accused Mitigation and Sentencing Submission at the High Court today.

The 41 year old father has pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and one count of attempted rape.

He committed the offences three times on his eldest daughter who was 17 years of age at the time of the offences last year at their home and one offence was committed early this year when he told his daughter to accompany him to the bush to collect sticks.

He also tried to rape his 14 year old daughter who was sleeping in her bed room last year.

The offences occurred mostly when the wife of the accused who was the mother of the victims was in Honiara.

Whitlam Togamae of Whitlam K Togamae Lawyers represented the accused while Crown Prosecutor Nelson Dhita has appeared for the state.

The sentencing will be announced at a later date.
