Holy Cross Cathedral Welcomes 117 Children to First Holy Communion
On Sunday, 5 October 2025, Holy Cross Cathedral joyfully celebrated the First Holy Communion of 117 children during the 11 a.m. Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr. Joseph Mary Roma, Administrator of Holy Cross Cathedral assisted by Br. Vickson.
The celebration was marked by a spirit-filled liturgy, beautifully animated by the Sunday school candidates who prepared for this sacred sacrament.
Families, friends, and parishioners gathered to witness the children receive the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time, a milestone in their faith journey.

Children received their First Holy Communion at Holy Cross Cathedral on Sunday, 5th October 2025.
In his homily, Fr. Roma reflected on the Gospel of Luke 17:5-10, the teaching of the mustard seed, reminding the faithful that even a small measure of faith can bear great fruit when nurtured through prayer and lived in daily obedience to God.
He encouraged the community to examine their own faith and to faithfully carry out the duties God entrusts to each of us, emphasizing that service and humility are at the heart of Christian life.
The sacred celebration concluded with a joyous communal feast, fostering fellowship and thanksgiving to God for His abundant grace.
