ACOM READY FOR ENTHRONEMENT OF 6th ARCHBISHOP

The Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) is currently preparing for the enthronement of its newly elected Archbishop, the Right Reverend George Takeli this Sunday.

ACOM General Secretary Dr Abraham Hauriasi told SIBC News, the Anglican Church looks forward to this important religious ceremony.

He says the organising committee has finalised the programme preparations.

“The plans and organisation towards the enthronement of the sixth Archbishop of the Church of Melanesia are progressing very well. The organising committee we had our final meeting this morning just to make sure things are ready.”

Meanwhile, Dr Hauriasi explains, guests from as far as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America are attending the event.

The Republic of Vanuatu, one of ACOM’s Diocese, will be represented by its president.
