Combating family violence remains one of the key priorities for the country’s Police force.

Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast says the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force is overseeing the roll out of the Family Protection Act and develops a number of manuals to assist police enforce the Act effectively.

Commissioner Prendergast says combating family and gender-based violence is one of his key priorities before 2015 ends.
