Fiji’s Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola is urging his Melanesian counterparts to pay outstanding assessed contributions in the next two days Melanesian Spearhead Group Ministers Meeting.

Presenting Fiji’s country statement at yesterday’s Foreign Ministers Meeting, Mr. Kabuabola says absolute commitment can advance and implement some of the current pending initiatives.

He says, judging from the agenda, it is evident that as an organization, MSG’s scope of work and mandate has somewhat increased greatly.

Mr. Kabuabola stressed this exemplifies MSG Ministers commitment and aspiration as a Group to explore and secure greater opportunities for our economies and peoples.

It is important to be vigilant and exercise due diligence in the initiatives to undertake because of economic limitations.

He urges his counterparts to always protect the integrity of the Group and focus on the core objectives of the Organization.

Mr. Kabuabola reiterates Fiji’s unwavering support towards the MSG and looking forward to working closely with all members in line with the principles of the ‘2038 Prosperity for All Plan’.
