Acting Commissioner of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force Juanita Matanga has called on members of the public to continue working closely with the police to reduce crime activities in the country.

Commissioner Matanga made the call during her weekly media conference in Honiara over the weekend after police have recorded a low crime rate during last week.

Mrs Matanga says it is everybody’s responsibility to ensure that all citizens live and enjoy a peaceful and crime-free environment.

“I want to ask members of the public we all have responsibilities to ensure that minor crimes be minimised, but I’d like to thank Honiara and also our people in the country for continuing to maintain the good spirit in ensuring that we live in peace and harmony in our country.”
