SINBIP Launches New Telecommunications Tower at Husuzo in South New Georgia Rendova Tetepare Constituency

The Solomon Islands National Broadband Infrastructure Project (SINBIP) has officially commissioned a new telecommunications tower on October 13 at Husuzo, situated within the South New Georgia Rendova Tetepare constituency.

This development represents a key milestone in enhancing and expanding internet connectivity throughout the Solomon Islands.

Supported by the People’s Republic of China, the tower’s construction is led by China Harbour Engineering Company and Huawei in close partnership with the Ministry of Communication and Aviation.

This joint effort aims to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure, narrowing the digital divide and improving access to communication services to support socio-economic growth.

The Husuzo tower will significantly improve network coverage and service reliability for the neighboring communities, facilitating greater access to education, commerce, and government services. This infrastructure expansion aligns with the Solomon Islands’ strategic vision of fostering a connected and digitally empowered society.

SINBIP remains committed to advancing modern telecommunications solutions, ensuring that even remote regions can access innovative technologies and enhanced connectivity.
