By Mary Manelegua
The Sons of Solomon Association International (SOSAI) launched its five-year strategic plan for 2025-2030 and a revised constitution on Friday in Honiara.
Founded in 2016, SOSAI focuses on promoting social justice, upholding Christian values, and supporting community development throughout the Solomon Islands.
SOSAI’s mission, as outlined in its constitution, is to support its members and vulnerable groups, including widows, orphans, the elderly, victims of abuse, and those facing discrimination.
The new strategic plan provides a framework for achieving SOSAI’s goals through organized actions and measurable outcomes.
At the launch event, Guest of Honor and Acting City Mayor, Clement Terewauri, encouraged all men and boys in Honiara City and the provinces to embrace the strategic plan as a call to action.
Terewauri emphasized that SOSAI is more than an organization; it’s a movement that invites all men and boys to lead, serve, and rebuild society.
He highlighted that everyone is welcome in SOSAI, emphasizing the importance of their voices and contributions.
Meanwhile, SOSAI Founder and President, Ruby Lee, also spoke at the event, highlighting SOSAI’s commitment to supporting boys and men who lack moral support, father figures, or face educational challenges.
She underscored SOSAI’s role in empowering men and boys to initiate positive change within their communities.
Lee also pointed out the need for support for men, noting that resources are often directed towards women, girls, and children.
