
Students visit PWWA Expo

Students from six schools in Honiara had the opportunity to visit and witness first-hand the products and equipment displayed by various companies attending the 16th Pacific Water & Wastewater Association (PWWA) Conference and Expo 2025 at the Aquatic Center today.
The session allowed students to interact with water experts from both local and regional organizations.
Among the six schools which participated in the tour was Saint Nicholas College, led by one of their senior Teacher, Charles Qalotaba.

Mr. Galotaba told SIBC News it was a privilege for his students to be part of todays program today.
“With this experience today, I would like to thank the government for the invitation to be part of the Expo where our students have learnt a lot from our visit here.”
“I hope, today’s experience will inspire our kids to pursue their studies that will help them to become engineers in the future, in the field of water to help us better the usage and management of water in our country,” he added.
He also encourages other students to pursue studies that are related to looking after water resources in the country.

Meanwhile, Health and Safety Coordinator of Solomon Water, Henry Kuper said hosting the PWWA Conference and Expo in Honiara is a privilege and an opportunity for the students to interact with water experts.
He said students were able to learn directly from experts from various water utilities around the region.
The 16th Pacific Water & Wastewater Association Conference and Expo 2025 will conclude on Friday.
