TERMINATE SUSPENDED PUBLIC SERVANTS, SAYS IROSAEA
Former Malaita Premier, Richard Namo Irosaea has called for the termination of suspended public servants.
Freelancer George Atkin reports Mr Irosaea questioned why the Public Service has prolonged its decision about what to do with the suspended public servants, many of whom have been on suspension for up to five years.
Mr Irosaea said it is sad to learn how the suspended government officers continue to receive salaries from the State’s purse when their employment contracts were already terminated.
The former Premier adds, the indecisiveness of the Public Service about the issue is unfair to many Solomon Islands graduates who are still without jobs.
SIBC News understands, Mr Atkin’s efforts to get comments from the Public Service on the issue were proven futile.
