A workshop on the National Forest Inventory and Sampling Design Workshop has begun in Honiara today.
The workshop aims to put in place a design and system that will harmonize collective efforts for a national forest inventory and a forest monitoring system for Solomon Islands.
Opening the workshop today, Permanent Secretary for Forestry and Research, Barnabas Anga said reaching a National Forest Inventory and sampling design at the national level will require a lot of collective collaboration and commitment from various stakeholders.
The Solomon Islands Government believes that the National Forest Inventory and Sampling design workshop is important and crucial for the future of the forest industry.
The workshop concludes on Thursday this week.
