The United States’ 2015 Pacific Partnership program values the friendship it develops with partners like Solomon Islands.

Capacity Mission Commander of this year’s partnership, Captain James Meyer says it is not so much the number of communities assisted or facilities upgraded but rather maintaining the long last relationship which the United States develops with its Pacific Partners.

“Overall, Pacific Partnership is not just about the number of people we help but really about the partnerships that developed and the friendships that we have put together so it’s really friends helping friends and as I said before you know we’re all neighbours in the global world that we live in we’re just looking to help our neighbours as well.”

Captain Meyer says as the US mission leave this Sunday, it hopes it has touched some lives with its community engagements.
