SOLOMONS TO PARTICIPATE IN PARA TABLE TENNIS OPENS
2011 World Table Tennis Championships.
In sports, Solomon Islands will take part in the Fiji Para Table Tennis Opens next week.
General Secretary of the Solomon Islands Para Olympic Committee, Elwin Talo told SIBC’s ‘Distaem Nao’ program three Para athletes will take part in the competition.
He says Solomon Islands will participate in three activities during the competition.
“Our team will participate in three activities and the first one is the professional classification of players, second will be a training camp for couches and players and the other one is to actually compete in the Fiji Opens.”
He adds the competition will start on 21-26 this month.
“It will start on 21st with both the coach education and classification will be conducted for the first four days from 21-24 when the actual Opens will be on 25-26.”
The team will leave for Fiji tomorrow.
