Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has urged Solomon Islanders working in Fiji to join the debate in the development of their country.

The Government Communication Unit reports, Prime Minister Sogavare made this plea during a dinner hosted by the Solomon Islands Commissioner to Fiji, His Excellency Patterson Oti in Suva.

PM Sogavare said the Democratic Coalition for Change (DCC) Government welcomes any contribution from educated Solomon Islanders working overseas.

The Prime Minister noted, there are more than 4,000 Solomon Islanders living outside the country – entitled to vote for their Parliamentary leaders in the national general election.

The Prime Minister adds, the Government is working on many reform agendas and will welcome assistance rendered by its educated citizens working abroad to advance the country’s development.
