The US Secretary of State John Kerry has left Honiara, after a brief 4-hour visit in the capital.
SIBC reporter, Rickson Bau who was part of the journalist pool following the Secretary of State reports, the visit was successful.
“US Secretary of State John Kerry has visited Honiara today and has left the country a while ago. Places he has visited today includes paying a courtesy visit to the Governor General of Solomon Islands, which both leaders talked behind closed doors without the media. Secretary Kerry after that took a visit to the Office of the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, which they both talked for 30 minutes. The visit was successful, especially talks with the Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo this afternoon.”
