Another Women of Courage Award will be awarded to a Solomon Islander, who performed outstandingly – often in the face of great difficulties.
A media invitation from the US Consular Agent in Solomon Islands today says the 2015 Women of Courage Award program will be held at the Heritage Park hotel this Sunday.
In 2007, the Secretary of State, Ms. Condelesca Rice initiated the Women of Courage Award to honor women who had performed outstanding service for the community.
Eight locals have previously received this Award.
The present Secretary of State John Kerry has continued the Women of Courage Award.
The Award presentation will be this Sunday.
