3 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN RELATION TO LATEST ROBBERY

Police in Honiara have arrested three adult male suspects in relation to the alleged robbery incident at the BSP Bank, formerly known as the Westpac Bank Monday this week.

A statement confirms Police arrested the suspects at the Hammock Beach on Tuesday evening after they launched their investigation.

The three suspects are aged 42, 37 and 32 respectively.

Police detectives conducted a quick search and recovered a substantial amount of cash at the same location.

They also detained a motor vehicle which is suspected to be involved in the alleged robbery.

The recovered items were brought back to Honiara City Police Station where they are currently being stored as exhibits.

Meanwhile, Police have interviewed the suspects and have also spoken to and obtained statements of several witnesses.

Information gathered by the detectives indicated there are potentially other suspects.

Police investigations are continuing.
