Broadly, the workshop with dedicated, dynamic and engaging participants from both sides of the House aims to strengthen the country’s legislative capacity, improve constitutional reforms and parliamentary procedures.

It is an important part of the process to inform all MPs of proposed amendments, obtain views and facilitate ongoing dialogue, to reach a consensus and adoption by the House.

  2. To improve the legislative process in Parliament to ensure enhanced scrutiny and quality of legislation.
  3. To improve the capacity of Parliament to provide effective oversight.
  4. To develop the education and outreach work of Parliament.

The objective is to complete the review soon so that the updated version of the Standing Order is effective in the next House.
