In Sports, the Oceania Football Champions League defending champion Auckland City FC places its hope on Solomon Islands International Footballer Micah Lea’alafa during the fight for a berth at the FIFA Club World Cup in the OFC Champions League final this weekend.

Auckland City and Team Wellington will meet on Saturday for the second straight year with the capital men looking to repeat their feats of the ASB Premiership.

The defending champions Auckland City and Team Wellington booked spots in the final after wins over Tahitian and New Caledonian opposition respectively.

Auckland keeping their hopes of a sixth consecutive title alive with a 4-2 victory over AS Tefana while Team Wellington disappointed AS Magenta of New Caledonia by 2-0.

Tefana, Micah Lea’alafa and Clayton Lewis will be the Auckland figures at the Saturday OFC Champions League.
