Mining company, Axiom KB says the company is now optimistic to restart its exploration following this week’s decision by the Court of Appeal to dismiss Sumitomo’s injunction against the joint venture’s operation in Isabel.

In a statement today, Axiom KB Chief Executive Officer Ryan Mount said the company is now optimistic to restart its exploration and development of the nickel deposit.

Mr Mount said restarting the exploration and development will benefit landowning groups the company, other stakeholders and the national economy.

Meanwhile, Chair of the Kolosori Trustees Chief Elliot Cortez said it is good that Axiom KB is now free to develop the nickel deposit for the good of the national, as justice had been served.

SIBC News understands the Court of Appeal hearing follows Sumitomo’s application last week for an interim injunction to stop Axiom KB from nickel prospecting in Isabel province.
