Canadian BC Premier Extends wishes to Solomon Islands on Independence Day

Canadian Premier of British Columbia Province the Honourable David Eby has extended his wishes to everyone celebrating Solomon Islanders 45th Independence Day.

In a letter to Solomon Islands Honorary Consul-General to Canada Ashwant Dwivedi Premier Eby said that National days are an important opportunity to recognise the rich history and culture of countries throughout the world.

“On Behalf of British Columbians, I am pleased to extend my warmest wishes to you and everyone celebrating the Solomon Islands national Day.

“The people of Solomon Islands have enriched our diverse province by bringing their arts, tradition and values to BC, and we are privileged to share this occasion with you and celebrate the Solomon Islands heritage,” Premier Eby said.

Premier further said that Consulates are vital links in strengthening our cultural and economic ties as well as advancing mutual priorities.

Premier Eby thanked Hon. Consul-General Dwivedi for his continued dedication as Solomon Islands diplomatic representative.

“I want to thank you for your continued dedication and service as Solomon Islands representative here in beautiful British Columbia,” Premier Eby said.

Premier Eby further stated that “Our government looks forward to building on our international partnership and enjoying more prosperous years of friendship,” Premiers Eby said in his correspondence.
