CHURCH ORDAINED DEACON TO PRIESTHOOD

Saint Paul’s church in Sugu, Wanderer Bay in West Guadalcanal has over the weekend celebrated the ordination of a Deacon to the Ministry of Priesthood.

The ordination was celebrated by Bishop of the Diocese of Guadalcanal Reverend Nathan Tome welcoming the newly ordained Priest Simon Peter Koti to the Ministry.

Speaking during the ordination, Provincial Member for Wanderer Bay Lionel Longarata said, the ordination marks another milestone for Saint Paul’s church, Sugu.

Mr Longarata said this will be noted in the historical activity records of the village church of Saint Paul and Sugu coastal district.

He adds Father Simon Koti is the third to be ordained in the Chapel.
