Coconut and cocoa farmers in South Malaita are advised to work hard to be a recipient of the coconut and cocoa rehabilitation project.

Afio Agriculture Extension Officer Robert Aumae made the advice in response to complaints on the distribution of coconut and cocoa rehabilitation project application form in the region.

Mr Aumae said his region received only three forms for the project which is so competent for farmers.

He advised farmers to work hard to convince Agriculture officers during farm assessments.

“I would like to advise the farmers and associations or any cocoa or coconut farmer who would wish to get a project next year to make sure they maintain their farms so that whenever your farm is visited, you’ll have a high chance to be recommended for a project.”
