Vice-Chancellor of the University of The South Pacific (USP) Professor Rajesh Chandra has appealed to the National Government to support pertinent matters regarding the university’s fourth campus at Doma, West Guadalcanal.

In his recent meeting with the Sogavare-led government, Professor Chandra says specific areas of the project requiring the government’s contribution is setting up infrastructure and facilities that the campus will need.

Mr Chandra reiterates, ground work cannot start unless a government clearance on Unexploded Ordnance is issued.

He says the current Solomon Islands Campus at Lawson Tama has been overcrowded and the USP is gravely concerned.

Mr Chandra reconfirms his personal commitment to the Doma project.
