EDUCATION CONFERENCE UNDERWAY IN AUKI

The 2016 National Education Authority (NEA) Conference gets underway in Auki, Malaita Province.
The conference began with a grand opening ceremony featuring a traditional Malaita welcome ceremony and the lighting of the NEAC torch at Auki Primary School.
Themed “Igniting and Spreading the Fire”, the conference draws together participants from all education authorities across the country.
In his keynote address, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, Dr. Franco Rodie said the conference provides an opportunity to communicate, discuss and overcome the barriers facing the country’s education sector.
Dr. Rodie said we must continue to be ambitious in what we want to achieve and work together towards a unified vision for the development of the country’s education system.
The conference concludes this Friday.
