Member of Parliament for Temotu Vatud, honorable Freda Tuki Rangirei, was sworn in as the Minister for Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs, today at the government House completing the Government for National Unity and Transformation’s cabinet line- up.

Honorable Freda Tuki Rangirei was at home during the entire lobbying and the eventual formation of the GNUT government, despite her absence the government has full confidence in her to continue to serve as a government minister.

Rangirei is no stranger to the Ministry of Women, Youth, Children and Family Affairs- she was the minister for the ministry in the last government and this will be her second term in the ministry.

After her swearing in, honorable Freda Tuki Rangirei, said she has a lot unfinished business to do in the ministry and that she cannot wait to get down to work.

Government has a total of 23 government ministries, and to this date all ministries have their respective ministers in place.

Political pundits are still mesmerized by the smooth transition and prompt appointment of government ministers. Most times, the formation of a government often takes weeks or even a month.

The successful transition and the quick rate at which the GNUT is formed demonstrated the seriousness of the government to get down to business and move the country forward.
