NORTH MALAITANS WELCOMED HATANGA’s CONSULTATIONS

North Malaita people have welcomed the approach taken by local firm Hatanga Construction which is currently consulting with people and other parties in the region concerning road repairs.
SIBC’s North Malaita stringer John Andrew Kiri reports people in the region are grateful for the presence of two Hatanga staffs who are gathering information from people regarding the road to set the basis for a road repair project.
“Paul Faiga and Paul Benry were sent by the company to prepare the way in terms of having consultations with community leaders, church leaders as well as chiefs and all ordinary people in the community in order to avoid unnecessary disturbances when the actual work begins.”
He adds the people have agreed to work closely with Hatanga as they have shown during the consultations which ended last week.
