Police investigate accident involving RSIPF vehicle

Officers from the Kukum Traffic Centre in Honiara and the Professional Standards and Internal Investigations unit of the police force are looking into an accident involving a police vehicle.

No one was injured in the accident that occurred in the King George VI school area on November 10.

Supervising Assistant Commissioner of Police, National Capital and Crime Prevention, Superintendent Patricia Leta said the matter had been brought to her attention.

She confirmed the vehicle involved in the accident was allocated to police in Guadalcanal Province.

Ms Leta said she will inform the public of any outcome of the investigations by the Kukum Traffic Centre and the internal investigations unit.
