RENBEL PREMIER AUTHORIZED TO INVESTIGATE RESIGNEES

The Minister for Provincial Government, Silas Tausinga has authorized an investigation into the resignation of eight provincial executive members of Rennell and Bellona Province, and why they are residing at the Pacific Casino Hotel in Honiara.
The eight executive members were accommodated at the Pacific Casino Hotel since resigning from the Tango-led Provincial Government, late last month.
Premier Lence Tangosia told SIBC News yesterday, the Provincial Government Minister gave his permission to investigate the resignations and their accommodation sponsor.
“The Minister has allowed me to check what is going on with the group that has resigned from me who went and were accommodated at the Pacific Casino for five weeks now and also a backbencher from Rennell and two colleagues also from Rennell have also joined them, a total of eight people, which will be one person per room, and the involvement of APID which is totally wrong from a government’s perspective.”
