RSIPF RECEIVED NEW BOATS FROM RAMSI’s PPF

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) has received nine new vessels from the RAMSI Participating Police Force (PPF).

Police Commissioner Frank Prendergast says the vessels are called “stabi crafts” and very capable.

“There are half cabin crews, these got a range of about 400 Nautical Miles and a top speed in excess of 40 knots so they’re very capable vessels; two 200 horsepower outboard motors so a total of 400 horsepower.”

He says Honiara, Gizo and Auki will be first to receive the vessels – hopefully before Christmas.
