S.I.C.C.I DESCRIBED BUSINESS FORUM AS “VERY SUCCESSFUL”

The Solomon Islands Chambers of Commerce and Industries (SICCI) has described the seventh Australia Solomon Islands Business Forum held inHoniara this week as “very successful”.

SICCI Chairperson Tony Koraua said the two-day forum was a great success and a historic event.

The Chamber says comprehensive issues ranging from tourism, mining, finance, investment, sustainable development, and agriculture were discussed in eight sessions held over two days.

It concluded with recommendations on a ‘way forward’.

Mr. Koraua says the Business Forum was well attended by Australian businesses, SICCI members, and the Solomon Islands Government.

He adds the participation of Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, five of his ministers and senior officials was a testimony of the seriousness the government has shown towards the Forum.

Mr. Koraua says, SICCI is looking forward to working together with the Government on addressing the outcomes of the seventh AustraliaSolomon Islands Business Forum in order to advance the country.
