S.I’s NATIONAL U-17 TRASHED TONGA 10-1 IN OPENING MATCH TODAY

The National Under-17 side has trashed Tonga in this afternoon’s Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) U17 Championship at the Pango Stadium in American Samoa.

The National Junior side humiliated Tonga 10 goals to one in its opening pool clash.

Solomon Islands was down by a goal at the beginning of the first spell after Tonga hammered home its only goal.

The home side retaliated and punished Tonga severely till the final hooter.

The winner of the OFC playoffs will gain direct entry to the FIFA U17 World Cup in Chile in October.
