SEE CLIMATE CHANGE AS BRINGING POSITIVE CHANGE: YOUTH ADVOCATE

A youth advocate says climate change should be seen as bringing positive changes for the country.
Christina Ora says climate change is perceived as negative and one of the greatest barriers towards development.
But she says people should be encouraged to see it as bringing positive and simple changes to how things have been done in the past.
“Maybe it came along to tell us we need to change the way we’ve been doing business, maybe we need to in the long term the government can lanes for bicycles or collaborate with the private sector to promote more usage of solar panels.”
Meanwhile, the climate change youth advocate says she is happy to see climate change introduced in the national school curriculum.
She says it is important that other new tools such as Facebook and music is also used to ensure wider participation of youths in this important issue.
