Two women including a Solomon Islander, have been charged with submitting misleading investment.

Lanyu Chen and Jennifer Sifonia appeared in Court last Friday; each facing one count each of the charges.

The charges are in relation to the formation of China United Solomon Islands Corporation Limited.

The allegations state, in 2010 Chen and Sifonia had registered a company called Austree Enterprises PTY Limited under China United without the approval of the company’s shareholders and directors.

The approval is provided for in the company memorandum of association.

SIBC News understands China United SoIomon Islands Corporation Limited’s investment activities in Solomon Islands includes constructing the Solomon Islands Rugby Union Stadium at Town Ground.
